Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna has always been a benchmark for trends and innovations. The 56th edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna concluded with outstanding results, once again affirming its role as the leading global event for the cosmetics industry. The figures speak for themselves: over 255,000 professionals from 150 countries and 3,128 companies from 65 countries, representing more than 10,000 brands. Bologna once again proved to be the preferred destination for the industry’s key players, eager to forge new collaborations, discover emerging trends, and share experiences. Of the more than 3,000 exhibitors, 22% were from Italy, while 78% came from abroad, with strong participation from China, Korea, and Spain. International attendance was also significant among visitors: 46% were from Italy, while 54% came from overseas, led by Spain, the United Kingdom, and Germany. Italy continues to play a central role, thanks in part to buyer incoming programs such as the Buyer Program and Cosmoprof My Match, and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and by ITA – Italian Trade Agency.

 

The 56th edition set records not only in terms of attendance (+4.5%) but also in exhibition offerings. A new layout allowed for the inclusion of additional product categories in line with the market’s constant evolution, resulting in a 5.8% increase in exhibition area compared to last year. With 29 country pavilions and 78% of exhibitors from abroad, Cosmoprof once again reinforced its leadership as a strategic event for industry stakeholders.

 

Looking ahead to the 2026 edition: Cosmopack, the “show within the show,” will run from Thursday, March 26 to Saturday, March 28, 2026. Cosmo Perfumery & Cosmetics will also take place from Thursday, March 26 to Saturday, March 28, showcasing the best in fragrances, makeup, skincare, and personal care. From Thursday, March 26 to Sunday, March 29, 2026, Cosmo Hair, Nail & Beauty Salon will open its halls, featuring companies and distributors of products dedicated to the professional hair, beauty, and nail sectors.

 

Cosmoprof is a mirror of what is happening in the business world: a concrete snapshot of the beauty industry’s evolution, from emerging trends shaping the future to innovative strategies driving transformation. Euromonitor has analyzed market developments in detail, identifying the fastest-growing countries and providing valuable insights into global dynamics. The global beauty market is expected to generate revenues of USD 610.4 billion, up 2.9% compared to 2024, with forecasts indicating an annual growth of 3% over the 2025–2029 period. 

The United States remains the largest market, reaching USD 126.3 billion in 2025 (+1.5% vs. 2024), followed by China at USD 75.9 billion (+1.7%), and Brazil at USD 34 billion (+5.9%). In an ever-changing international landscape shaped by shifting economic policies, Europe continues to play a key role: among the top 10 performing markets for 2025 are Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and Italy. Italy is expected to reach USD 15.2 billion in revenues in 2025 (+3.4% vs. 2024) and remains among the world’s top six exporters, with an export value of USD 8.4 billion in 2024.
