Hair and emotion: new color trends for an energetic new start

The quickest way to show initiative and get back in the game? A new hair color.

As physical events finally return and color continues to help drive the hair sector, the top hairstylists are bringing the latest trends to the runway.

The winning color is blonde, with notes of character and personality that follow the principles of "harmochromy". Popular shades range from caramel and vanilla blonde - which maintain the perfect balance between warm and cool tones, adapting to any complexion - to cool blonde and platinum. The base can be enriched with a wide variety of never-before-seen effects thanks to new glosses offered by leading companies, from lavender to pastels to sand."We are seeing a revolution with a different sort of blonde. It's a completely new look", Gianni Rando, a hairstylist with a beauty parlor in Modica, near Ragusa, and top creative colorist and stylist for Alfaparf, explained in an interview with Ansa.it at OnBeauty by Cosmoprof, "The new blonde is the perfect match for trending haircuts like the mullet, pixiecat, English bob and midi bob: haircuts for brave women of any age who are no longer interested in the long, flat-ironed hair, that was all the rage before Covid".

Colors express our feelings and the desire to leave the challenges of the past months behind and get off to a fresh start. "Used in new, captivating and sense-oriented ways, color is a fascinating tool that can tap into experiences and memories to trigger an emotional response and make a lasting impression. It's an engaging experience", Mirela Zen explained in her conversation with Ansa.it. A stylist and color ambassador for Davines, Mirela participated in OnBeauty by Cosmoprof this past September to present the new "Euphoria" collection of senseoriented colors.

One of the hottest winter colors is chestnut with warm, vibrant nuances like chocolate or coffee. "Adding a three-dimensional effect with shades or imperceptible highlights is practically mandatory in this case as well", explain the stylists for Sheis Beauty International. "Being widespread and natural, chestnut is a marvelous and clever nuance that can be used to keep regrowth under control, and an infinite selection of shades and highlights are available to make it even more elegant. These days the color is further enhanced by the latest product on the market: Laminex by Babilon, which gives hair a never-before-seen shine."
