Chile has been one of Latin America’s fastest-growing economies in recent decades thanks to a solid macroeconomic framework. In the context of social unrest, GDP growth decreased from 3.9 percent in 2018 to 1.1 percent in 2019. The beauty is expected to grow by 7% in the next five year.
Even though the coronavirus pandemic has had a significant impact on consumption, a series of measures were set by the government aiming at mitigating the effects and make the economy and the beauty industry start again.
